To ensure full compliance with <strong>Transport for London (TfL) regulations<\/strong> and prevent fraudulent insurance practices, we have set strict insurance requirements for all drivers operating on our platform.<\/p><p>This policy applies to:<\/p><ul><li><strong>Drivers<\/strong> who wish to register their vehicle on Unic.<\/li><li><strong>Insurance providers<\/strong> that wish to be recognized and accepted on our platform.<\/li><\/ul><p>Failure to comply with this policy may result in <strong>suspension or removal<\/strong> from the Unic platform.<\/p><ol start=\"2\"><li><strong> Driver Insurance Requirements<\/strong><\/li><\/ol><p>All drivers on <strong>Unic<\/strong> must have an <strong>active and valid Private Hire Taxi\u00a0 insurance policy<\/strong> that meets the following criteria:<\/p><ul><li><strong>Private Hire Vehicle (PHV) Insurance<\/strong> \u2013 The policy must explicitly cover private hire use (social, domestic, pleasure, and private hire).<\/li><li><strong>Minimum Coverage Limits<\/strong> \u2013 The insurance must meet or exceed TfL\u2019s requirements for PHV operators.<\/li><li><strong>Named or Fleet Policy<\/strong> \u2013 Drivers must have an individual policy in their name or be covered under a fleet policy issued by an approved provider.<\/li><li><strong>Policy Validity<\/strong> \u2013 The insurance policy must be valid <strong>at all times<\/strong> while operating on the platform.<\/li><li><strong>Real-Time Verification Compliance<\/strong> \u2013 Insurance providers must support real-time policy verification to confirm active coverage.<\/li><li><strong>No Expired or Suspended Policies<\/strong> \u2013 Drivers must renew their policy before expiration and notify us immediately if their policy is cancelled.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>2.1 Proof of Insurance Submission<\/strong><\/p><p>Drivers must submit the following documents when registering:<\/p><ul><li>A valid insurance certificate clearly stating &#8220;Private Hire Vehicle&#8221; coverage.<\/li><li>A policy schedule showing <strong>start date, expiry date, and vehicle details<\/strong>.<\/li><li>A Motor Insurance Database (MID) check confirmation (if requested).<\/li><\/ul><p>All documents will be subject to <strong>fraud detection, OCR scanning, and real-time verification<\/strong>. Any altered, forged, or invalid documents will result in <strong>immediate suspension<\/strong> and potential legal action.<\/p><ol start=\"3\"><li><strong> Approved Insurance Providers<\/strong><\/li><\/ol><p>To maintain high standards and fraud prevention, <strong>Unic <\/strong>will only accept insurance policies issued by providers that meet the following conditions:<\/p><ul><li><strong>Licensed &amp; Recognized by UK Authorities<\/strong> \u2013 The insurer must be fully authorized to issue Private Hire Vehicle (PHV) insurance in London.<\/li><li><strong>API Integration for Real-Time Verification<\/strong> \u2013 Insurers must provide a secure <strong>API or digital system<\/strong> that allows us to check the status of a driver\u2019s policy in real-time.<\/li><li><strong>Automated Policy Updates<\/strong> \u2013 The insurer must notify us if a policy is <strong>canceled, expired, or modified<\/strong>.<\/li><li><strong>Digital Certificates Only<\/strong> \u2013 We do not accept handwritten or manually generated insurance documents.<\/li><li><strong>Transparent Claims Process<\/strong> \u2013 The insurer must have a <strong>clear and efficient claims process<\/strong> to ensure that drivers and passengers are protected in case of an accident.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Insurance providers that do not meet these requirements will not be accepted on our platform.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Insurance companies that wish to be added to our platform must contact insurance@unictechnologies.co.uk with proof of compliance.<\/strong><\/p><ol start=\"4\"><li><strong> Continuous Monitoring &amp; Compliance Checks<\/strong><\/li><\/ol><p>To prevent fraud and unauthorized activity, we conduct <strong>regular compliance checks<\/strong> on all registered drivers and insurers.<\/p><ul><li><strong>Automated Monthly Insurance Checks<\/strong> \u2013 We verify active policies every 30 days.<\/li><li><strong>Immediate Policy Cancellation Alerts<\/strong> \u2013 If an insurance provider informs us that a policy has been cancelled, the driver will be suspended until a new policy is uploaded.<\/li><li><strong>Random Manual Audits<\/strong> \u2013 Our compliance team may request additional proof of insurance at any time.<\/li><\/ul><p>Failure to comply will result in <strong>permanent removal from Unic<\/strong> and possible reporting to TfL.<\/p><ol start=\"5\"><li><strong> Fraud Prevention &amp; Strict Consequences<\/strong><\/li><\/ol><p>We take <strong>insurance fraud seriously<\/strong>.
